My three year old daughter has learned all sorts of work skills from observing me work from home. She knows what email is and she is very good at stamping promotional material (although it is sometimes crooked), but then if I did the stamping it is likely to end up crooked too.
She will sit beside me typing on her toy computer and talking on the phone and her understanding of what I do is amazing. She is always a willing helper and I have read numerous articles where children who grow up in homes where someone works from home end up as extremely capable of running their own businesses too from a young age.
She also understands the value of hard work. When we ask her to pick up her toys she says “But it is going to be hard work”. She knows it is way more fun getting the toys out than actually packing them away, but she will do the hard work of picking her toys up.
The great thing is that I can be a great parent and at the same time help my children achieve all of their dreams. I can arrange my working schedule so that I spend quality time with them and still achieve results at work. I absolutely love the independence and am truely living the life I want to live. www.livethelifeyouwanttolive.com
